Spending most of his youth in Hillsboro, Oregon, Ben came to Boise to pursue a business degree at Boise State University and to explore the Idaho outdoors. Working various jobs since early in high school, he became discouraged by their dead ends and began taking education more seriously. During his junior year, he had the opportunity to take a leadership role in the Financial Management Association (FMA) with three friends on campus. Enjoyment in the club and its culture soon led to months of networking and taking trips to firms across the country. Ben was introduced to wealth management when he began working as the Executive Assistant for the Financial Planning Association (FPA) of Idaho. Above all else, the Fiduciary Duty stood out as a unique and well-meaning standard compared to other industries.
Excited at the opportunity to work in the industry away from a large corporate firm, Ben began working with FFG just before quarantine began. He has just graduated in May 2020 and is looking forward to taking the first steps in developing his career.
